Rainy Thursday

Today and yesterday it has just been all gray outside and lots of rain, but I really love these days because I get to relax and lay in bed watching movies with my beloved cat Neko--who is the ONLY exception to my "all cats are the devil" theory.
I took time off of One Tree Hill and watched this film today. And absolutely loved it! It was really awkward and weird, which means you have to be awkward and weird to like it. Not really, but kinda.

Her favorite spot is on my pillow in the window.

Yeah, I really love my cat.

My Room In Pictures

I dont know why I randomly got the urge to take some pictures of my room tonight but I have been working on it for a while, collecting little doo-dads and things that mean a lot to me. I am always rearranging it (literally at least once a month) and a picture of my lava lamp would really complete the series, but I forgot. The thing I love most in my room is my jewelry box. It was my grandmother's and I discovered it not long ago in the attic--to me, it felt like finding hidden treasure. Some people dont appreciate stuff like that but to me it is magical and beautiful--it is so old with a lot of dust and it has all her old jewelry and other things in there...and I plan to keep it exactly as it is (except for adding my favorite heart sunglasses to it :)

My favorite glasses...my mom absolutely hates them--she doesnt understand

I love mason jars and old keys

The Beatles box set...every single album

Lyrics from one of my favorite Mumford & Sons songs "After the Storm"

I have been collecting dream catchers here and there since I was little, my great grandmother loved them too

Nothing is better than the colors and effects of a polaroid

Me as a little human next to myself now

I was feeling very crafty the day I made this, I need to make more

Sunflowers are my favorite, and I really love how this is out of focus

Family

So, the past few days have been full of pretty much nothing but relaxation. I have spent time with family, stayed in my pjs all day long and have watched A LOT of One Tree Hill episodes on Netflix. I didn't even know what to do with myself after I finished up editing my last shoot of the year. Sometimes, I really love taking a break from everything and everyone--not answering my phone and just being at home with family. My grandparents are always traveling--they spend their summers in the mountains, their winters at their beach home, and when they aren't in Italy or on a cruise, they come home for football games and holidays--pretty great life, huh? So the time they are here I really cherish because they are great and there are definitely perks of having an Italian grandpa, lots of great food while they are here :)

My Nana, the 2nd greatest woman I know (mom still is 1st)

The greatest, most lovely couple I know

Priceless

My "cool" Aunt Kathy

And my mom--my role model

Ring bracelets! I got one in Ecuador 2 years ago and just now started wearing it and I am obsessed with them. These are some more I like.
